Job Description

The position

 

IT Helpdesk Specialist technicians are in charge of daily setups, deleting, and maintaining individual user accounts. The technician is responsible for application provisioning, share drive access, and email configurations. Individual must be self-motivated, able to work independently, with an analytical mindset.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with team projects and new initiatives
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of MS Active Directory, Organizational Units, and AD Groups
  • Configure and/or modify Active Directory user accounts
  • Provision security access to shares, applications, and email on multiple platforms 
  • Responsible for Onboarding New Hires, Transfers, and Terminations of employees and Contractors
  • Tier 1 user support requests via ticketing system and/or email
  • Familiarity with two factor authentication; setup and support
  • Provision and support external/internal audits
  • Adhere to strict rules and regulations when following procedures as per company policies and SOX Government/Compliance guidelines
  • Create and update documentation, policies, and procedures
  • Work closely with business users and support teams to ensure exceptional service and support
  • Provide support outside of normal business hours to address issues or new initiatives

Qualifications

  • Security Certifications or 3-5 yrs. working experience preferred.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Windows 10 and Servers 2012, 2016
  • Prior experience with Windows Active Directory and Office 365 required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange; Outlook configuration and administration
  • Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and within a technical team
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Adaptive, responsive with can-do attitude and an eagerness to help others
